Kojinsha E8 is the name of a new competitor in the increasingly populated segment of the UMPC, where Asus Eee PC has attracted most public interest by betting low prices and simplicity. Though a bit more expensive than Asus Eee PC, Kojinsha E8 price is still relatively low (about 408 Euro).

Kojinsha E8 has a 7-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 40 GB hard disk and 512 MB RAM. Its microprocessor is none other than the powerful AMD Geode LX800, of proven quality and already present in several products. It also offers built-in speakers, microphone input and output headphones, a USB 2.0 port and memory card slot. The Li-Ion battery can operate for 3 ½ hours.
