BenQ M7, the ‘M’ name here was probably inherited from the Siemens M series spirit. It just my thought, remembering the previous BenQ-Siemens joint. This BenQ M7 probably would not be the most attractive one in mobile phone market, but its features are quite interesting.

I personally call it as unique since it seems trying to combine the outdoors and home entertainment features. BenQ M7 has a multimedia player, which can deal with MP3, MPEG4, 3GP video and XMF audio types. Also it comes with a web browser and email client, 2 megapixel primary camera plus a secondary one for video calling, a 2″ 240×320 pixel display, Bluetooth and microSD expandable memory.

Besides having an exterior which is designed to protect it from dush and splash ( also from water I think, since it’s covered with a waterproof film), BenQ M7 has a built in Assisted Global Positioning System (A-GPS). It said that the A-GPS has some handy features like a speedometer, compass, and route recording. Just I don’t know whether it has a mapping ability or not. No clear statement about it.
